Freshmen Textbook Reservation Information
*Reserve Your Textbooks For Easy Pre-Semester Pickup in your Residence Hall!*
The Textbook Reservation Program is offered first semester (only) to all incoming freshmen and transfer students. The University Bookstore will obtain individual class schedules, gather books and debit student EagleOne accounts as appropriate. Upon arrival in August, books will already be available for pickup in residence halls!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
A deposit of $675 or more to your EagleOne account is required by the close of business on Thursday July 28, 2011. Account information is already on file, so you can participate now in the Textbook Reservation Program and pick up an Eagle One card later at orientation.
METHODS OF ENROLLMENT:
*ONLINE*From the Eaglelink Portal click the University Life tab. Click on the EagleOne Card Channel, and follow instructions there;
*BY PHONE*Contact the EagleOne ID Center at 540-654-1005 using a Master Card or Visa;
*BY MAIL*If payment by check is preferred, print,complete and mail the Textbook Reservation Form
WHERE & WHEN DO I PICKUP MY BOXED BOOKS?
Dates: Textbook Reservation boxes will be in your room on move in day! August 24, 2011.
WHY SHOULD I SIGN UP?
*You will have a better chance of saving money by getting 'used' books where available.
*The University Bookstore will do the work of finding the required books for your classes.
*No standing in line during 'rush'!
HOW DO I KNOW I AM GETTING THE CORRECT TEXTBOOKS?
The University Bookstore acquires class schedules and pulls the required books.
NEW OR USED BOOKS?
The UMW Bookstore purchases quality used textbooks as available in order to save money for our students. When used books are not available, new will be substituted.
WHO DO I CALL IF I HAVE QUESTIONS?
For questions regarding depositing funds, call the EagleOne ID Center at 540-654-1005. For textbook questions, call the University Bookstore at 540-654-1017.
HOW DO I RETURN MY BOOKS IF MY SCHEDULE CHANGES?
Please carefully read the Textbook Return Policy.
WHAT IF I DON'T USE ALL OF MY EAGLEONE DEPOSIT FOR MY BOOKS?
A deposit $675 or more is required to participate in the reservation program. Remaining funds after book purchase stay in the student's EagleOne account for use wherever the EagleOne card is accepted.
